The best AI song writer tools of 2026 are ranked by bestaisongwriter.com's annual evaluation of lyric-first AI music generators, scored on five weighted dimensions: lyric input, structure control, vocal control surface, price transparency, and distribution disclosure.
On bestaisongwriter.com's 2026.10 method, ElevenLabs Music ranks first at 88.75 and Suno second at 85.00. Only these two had all five fields read from vendor pages. The other twelve candidates are listed below with the field each one lacks. The order depends on two readings of vendor text, and the method page shows how the order changes if either reading changes.
In this ranking, a song writer is software that turns lyrics into a full song with vocals. We do not rank human ghostwriters, text-only chatbots that draft lyrics without audio, or instrumental-only generators. Every page on this site uses that same meaning.
Creates a song from a lyric you supply, and lets you select any section and regenerate just that part. Its music page states commercial use by tier, including "Commercial, no streaming" on Starter, and it does not mention Content ID.
Custom mode takes your own lyrics, and Premier can add new vocals to an existing song and replace or add sections. Commercial use rests on downloads within the monthly allocation. The terms text we read, up to its arbitration section, states neither streaming nor Content ID status, and that reading moves the order (see the method page).
Each tool below lacks at least one official-source field, or sits outside the lyric-input scope. A missing field is never filled with a guessed value.
| Tool | Why it is not ranked |
|---|---|
| Udio | Lyric input and prices are verified. Terms on downloads and distribution could not be retrieved from udio.com, and the feature table does not show which tier carries each check, so the distribution and section fields are unverified. |
| Mureka | The pricing page returned 404 on the capture date. The lyrics generator is named on the home page, but custom lyric input and terms are unverified. |
| Google Flow Music | Lyric input, pricing and terms are unverified. Its daily credit allowance has no published number. |
| Tunee | The price figures did not render on capture. The home page and FAQ describe commercial use differently, so the distribution field cannot be scored. |
| Loudly | The pricing page returned 404. Its rights statement is a vendor claim with no terms text, and lyric input is unverified. |
| Boomy | The home page lists no prices, and its commercial statement is a vendor claim with no terms text. Lyric input is unverified. |
| Beatoven.ai | The pricing page returned 404, and the pricing and lyric fields have no public data in the capture. |
| Soundraw | Instrumental or background-music product. No lyric input was recorded in the research pass, so it is excluded from the lyric-input ranking by scope. |
| Mubert | Instrumental or background-music product. No lyric input was recorded in the research pass, so it is excluded from the lyric-input ranking by scope. |
| AIVA | Instrumental or background-music product. No lyric input was recorded in the research pass, so it is excluded from the lyric-input ranking by scope. |
| MusicGen (AudioCraft) | Instrumental or background-music product. No lyric input was recorded in the research pass, so it is excluded from the lyric-input ranking by scope. |
| Stable Audio | Instrumental or background-music product. No lyric input was recorded in the research pass, so it is excluded from the lyric-input ranking by scope. |
Five dimensions, weighted: lyric input 35%, structure control 20%, vocal control surface 15%, price transparency 15%, and distribution disclosure 15%. The total is the weighted sum of the five scores on a 0–100 scale. The full rules and the arithmetic for both ranked tools are on the method page.
total = 0.35 × lyric_input + 0.20 × structure + 0.15 × vocal + 0.15 × price + 0.15 × distribution
Sources: Suno's pricing page in its monthly and annual views and its terms of service (last revision 2026-08-10); ElevenLabs' music and pricing pages; Udio's pricing page; and the Suno and Udio help-center articles on custom lyrics, read as search excerpts. Capture date: 2026-10-16. The method page lists each URL with its source level. Limits: the help-center texts were not read in full, Suno's terms were read up to the arbitration section, Udio's terms could not be retrieved, and sound quality, vocal realism and generation stability are not scored.
On bestaisongwriter.com's 2026.10 method, ElevenLabs Music ranks first at 88.75 out of 100 and Suno ranks second at 85.00. Only these two tools had all five fields verified from official sources; the other twelve candidates are listed with the reason they are not ranked.
It means software that turns lyrics into a full song with vocals. You supply the words, or the tool drafts them, and the product sings them. The ranking excludes human ghostwriters, text-only lyric chatbots, and instrumental-only generators.
A ranking entry needs a value for all five dimensions from an official source. Udio, Mureka, Google Flow Music, Tunee, Loudly, Boomy and Beatoven.ai each miss at least one field. We do not fill a missing field with 0 or 50.
Prices are official-page figures captured on 2026-10-16. When a vendor bills yearly, the annual price is shown as a monthly equivalent next to the monthly price. Promotional first-month prices are not used as list prices.
